i want to know the name of the cable boxes that you can watch channels without any provider, just by the box itself. i found one called the Starview box but its only for U.K customers only, can anyone tell me if their is one made to work in U.S please, thanks! yea, i know its illegal, thanks! am not going to use that anymore. i rather pay for satellite tv. and get better quality and more channels.

so my mom got those government issued converter coupons and got some converter boxes. we havent been able to afford things recently so we had the cable turned off. we still get a few channels. she plans to hook up the converter boxes and use rabbit ears to watch tv. will this work? and how well? shes told me that alot of ppl tell her they get alot of channels with the box.
